Chhaava set for a grand release: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna will star in the much-awaited historical drama Chhaava, which is all set to release on February 14, 2025. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film chronicles the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Indian legendary warrior king Shivaji Maharaj.
Chhaava’s advance bookings have already crossed ₹5 crores; therefore, it is expected to perform well on opening. The film is especially popular in Maharashta where audience interest is substantially high as 60% of the pre-sale tickets have already been sold.

In his latest report, Chhaava has already surpassed 75,000 ticket sales in the top multiplexes which adds to the pre release success of Vicky Kaushal.
With high advance bookings, industry analysts are estimating the opening day collection for the film will be in the range of ₹18-20 crores making it with the highest openers of 2025 and forecast earnings above ₹500 crores.

While speaking of the film, Vicky Kaushal, who acts as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, stated that he felt privileged and grateful to play the role of the great warrior king.
“Through Chhaava, we aim to carry on the legacy of great Indian warriors. Every generation needs to remember the sacrifices these warriors did with so much bravery,” he added.
