OnePlus has scheduled the launch of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R smartphones for the 7th of January. The new flagship series smartphones mark some changes, for instance, faster chipsets, better camera specs, and a completely new design. These smartphones are expected to be priced within the OnePlus premium smartphone range, with OnePlus 13R starting below Rs 50,000 and OnePlus 13 starting out at Rs 70,000. OnePlus 13R: Has a glass finish as a compromise while forgoing the vegan leather option as well as the IP68/IP69 certifications.

OnePlus 13: 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor for wider angles. 50MP telephoto sensor for a tighter shot. 50MP ultrawide sensor.

OnePlus 13R: Being the first smartphone from the R-series, was able to launch with the inclusion of telephoto lens. Did hint towards featuring 50MP primary camera with 50MP Telephoto lens and 8Mp Ultrawide sensor. All these changes are intended for improving the photography experience of the user, be it casual or professional level.

OnePlus 13: Priced approximately under 70,000 rupees

OnePlus 13R: Expected to be unveiled under 50,000 rupees.

The price increase does in fact justify the presence of high end parts such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite series chipset. Despite the increase, OnePlus has not managed to lose its stand in the premium smartphone industry.
