Fantastic Four Like You’ve Never Seen Before
This adaptation and reboot of the Fantastic Four is set in the 1960’s which is a change from the ‘modern setting’ that was used in the previous ones. This modification is evidence of the filmmakers wanting to pioneer their own unique way of storytelling as compared to the other adaptations. It’s a welcome nod to the original comics.
The project is being directed by Matt Shakman from WandaVision, who has promised to bring a different perspective and blend the nostalgic Marvel superheroes with modern day ones. Feige has further fueled the anticipation by saying that the movie will be tied to the wider universe, adding questions about how the Fantastic Four will meet Spider Man, Doctor Strange, and Kang The Conqueror.
