Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has made an official announcement about the results of the much-awaited 5th Class exams of the academic session 2024-25. The results of the current year have brought a lot of joy to the students as well as the parents with such a high pass percentage that adequately explains the primary education system in the state which bears the fruit of the improvements it has secured in the last few years.
Impressive Overall Pass Rate and Student Performance
The figure indicates that 97.47% of the over 13 lakh students who took the exams have been victorious. The exam results also reveal an equal split between boys and girls academically, with a slight edge to girls who have secured 97.66% while the boys have gotten 97.29%. This is particularly seen as a good indication for women’s education rise in the region.
Categories have been assigned to students based on the marks scored, and it is clear that the major portion of the student community has got high marks:
- Grade A (81-100 marks): More than 5 lakh students got A grades which are exemplary.
- Grade B (61-80 marks): Almost 7 lakh students are in this category which shows that they have a good understanding of the subjects.
- Grade C (41-60 marks): Around 94,000 students got scores in this bracket.
- Grade D (33-40 marks): Only a small fraction of students were in this category.
- Grade E (Below 33 marks): Over 31,550 students are assigned this category and are eligible for the supplementary exams.
District-wise Performance Highlights
An interesting feature of the education system in Rajasthan is that certain areas are showing outstanding performance. For instance, Dausa holds the record with the highest pass rate of 98.83%, just barely followed by Pratapgarh and Dungarpur, who reached 98.77% and 98.68% respectively. Sikar and Ajmer are among the other districts that had a high passing rate of all exceeding 98.5%.
At precisely the opposite end of the spectrum, there stands Jodhpur, Dholpur, Jalore, Bikaner, and Jaisalmer who reported the lowest pass rates. However, it is to be noted that they have put a strong emphasis on resourcing and support to these regions in the area of education where current year’s performance gap was, thus the authorities are striving hard to catch up with the top.
