Melted cheese on bread. Placed in your sandwich. The smooth, salty kick is just irresistible — the liver, however, is under a constant strain of struggle each time you have this bite.

Processed cheese consists of sodium, saturated fats, and artificial preservatives. This is because it is not made the natural way; on the contrary, the whole purpose of this type of cheese is for it to have a longer shelf life and to melt better: it is not a source of nourishment for your body.

Your liver, the body’s own cleaner, should break down each preservative and food color in that slice of cheese for you. However, the problem arises when it is done every day, and year after year.

If you also have it with white bread or deep-fried food, then the impact is more than double. Your liver not only stores the fat but it also puts extra effort to get this work done, i.e. to break down the salt and the artificial flavors too.
