Green tea is mostly known for the powerful antioxidant it contains called catechins, which are helpful to the body in the fight against cellular injuries resulting from the activity of free radicals.

This is especially good for the kidneys as the oxidative stress is a major cause of chronic kidney disease.

A daily green tea intake not only helps to improve circulation but also to reduce inflammation and to give the kidneys their normal detoxification process.

When made right, it is also low in caffeine and is a sugar-free drink which makes it a much better alternative to sugary sodas or high-calorie beverages.

For the complete effect, do not overboil the leaves and do not add milk or sugar.
